Galesburg Attractions
(For the Rail Enthusiast)
It is my belief that Galesburg is one of the more underrated places for railfans to visit in the Midwest. Below is a list of recommended areas to see when visiting town for the first time. For those with little common sense, I have listed the areas where you can walk around a bit and those that are best seen from your car.
PLEASE USE YOUR HEAD AND STAY OFF RAILROAD PROPERTY!
Railroad police have been on alert since the attacks of September 11th. Be advised that you are being watched by ALL railroad employees. Please be extra careful while watching trains about town. Your actions will help keep Galesburg a friendly place for us all to visit! (There, I feel better now.)
Below is a simple map of suggested stops.
