This website attempts to be an introduction to the railroads of Galesburg Illinois and the surrounding region. It also serves to record my personal field trips to the area.
My hope is that this site can help others to discover one of the more underrated destinations for railfans in the Midwest. Also my hope is that in time, and with the help of others, this site can grow to reflect more of the rail history of the area.
This site is not designed for "professional" railfans. Rivet-counters and professional rail photographers will be sorely disappointed, but "Frankly Scarlet..."

P.S. I must admit that I suffer from "Burlington Bias". But with the help of others, the Santa Fe is represented here as well!
Warning! This site utilizes humor and the ability to not take one's self too seriously. Surf with caution!
Also please be advised that the site is a continuing work in progress. If there are links that do not exist - that means I'm still workin' on them. I ask your patience. Building a website is easy, just time consuming!

Hello friends!
A New Beginning!
"I'm not dead yet..."
After a two year interruption. I have at long last managed to get the site reposted. It takes an awful long time for us simple country folk to get our Galesburg sites uploaded as we only have dial up modems. All day, night, and a lot of the next day to get it uploaded. "Why" you ask? All those photos!!!!!! For now, its the same old stuff, but I will get some new things posted as time, children, and work allow. Thanks for your patience.
