Model Train and Railroadiana Show At Carl Sandburg College

Official Train Show Flyer:

(Click one of the pictures below for a larger view!)

Another popular train - related feature of Railroad Days is the show at the college. The show features over 10 different model train displays, exhibitors selling train - related goods, outdoor displays, and media presentations.

This year's Train show will feature more than 70+ dealers from all over the Country displaying train - related goods on over 300 tables! Featured are 14 different layouts and exhibits. Hours are Saturday 9 AM - 5 PM and Sunday 10AM - 4 PM. Admission is $5 for adults for both days. Those under 14 years of age are admitted free of charge. Be advised that there are some layouts who will be displaying on Saturday only. Likewise, some will be displaying on Sunday only. Therefore, you may want to come both days to see all the layouts! For information on train show dates, hours, and location - click on the picture of the flyer above! All proceeds benefit a scholarship fund at the college.

Also - You might want to consider parking for ALL the Railroad Days events at the college. The parking here is free. (Parking near the depot downtown can become rather scarce.) Then, after you have seen the show, you can board the free shuttle bus to the depot downtown and be within easy walking distance to the majority of the other events! A shuttle bus leaves each location every half hour from 9AM to 5PM both Saturday and Sunday. Just keep in mind that the last shuttle bus leaves each location at 5 PM!

This year's carnival will be held on the grounds of Carl Sandburg College. Be advised that parking at the college will therefore probably become a lot more scarce than in years past!

Some features of the show this year include:

* 3 live steam displays

* A combined very large N trak layout taking up half the gym!

* Kenosha Wisconsin's modular G scale LEGO layout

*At least one large modular HO layout

*Several small layouts on display

*Some guy from Michigan and his small N scale layout!

An ATM machine will be on the college grounds courtesy of Wells Fargo bank.
